Pros
Smaller UK teams were good and worked well together. Hybrid working
Cons
The biggest issue here is the culture. Tech leadership is a tight-knit group of people who’ve followed each other from company to company. If you aren't already in that inner circle, don't expect to be heard. It leads to a lot of blatant favouritism.
The company is obsessed with looking good for investors, which has led to some pretty brutal cuts. They’ve decimated solid, high-performing teams leaving the rest massively overworked and underpaid.
There’s almost zero productive collaboration across different markets. Leadership feels rudderless, they’re great at talking about "the vision" to stakeholders, but on the ground, there's no clear direction or support for the people actually doing the work.
Unless you’re part of the pre-existing leadership clique, you’re just a gear in a machine that’s being run into the ground. It’s an exhausting environment that prioritises numbers over people.
