Pros

Great place to .... ummmm let me think about it. Meet some good people during my work here. Mostly my peers or below. But no one I'd recommend above me :)

Cons

Well, development also means no life, but that is what I observed - vs - my personal experience in being in a program manager. I am working here for years now in a program management/ sales capacity ... but honestly the environment just sucks. I am wondering what I am doing here and looking for a day when I can say that is it! The work is chaotic. The clients are not cared for - what company and the "leader"s care for is money. Its all about 'give me da money' and then I will disappear until you have more. I think this is a disservice to our significant clients based in Redmond, WA. The developers and teams are treated the same way! Developers are crushed between competing priorities (driven by money) and end up doing sooo much of work - it is not even funny! I work from early morning till late nights - working with (unfortunately fooling) clients at day time, negotiating every last dollar we can, and working with developers to get some work done in their horrific conditions and timelines. Both clients and devs suffer. People leave. And I am the master of fooling them all at the order of my management. Yes, you will wonder I must hate my job - you know what? I do. I thin I can make more respectable money elsewhere.

Pros

The recruiters kept in touch with me throughout the interview process and were really great about helping me prepare for the phone screen and in-person interviews. I received an offer within two weeks of applying.

Cons

None really. They're equal to or better than other agencies I've contracted with in the past.

Pros

I am working on my second contract for MAQ. Unlike other staffing agencies that maintain chic offices with piles of cool schwag, MAQ's Redmond offices are bare bones. That said, they actually know their stuff. They took the time to understand my skills and qualifications, and were then able to forward me opportunities that were a great fit. MAQ gives you the option of working with or without benefits. If you opt for benefits, the pay rate will be a few dollars less per hour, but the benefits are GREAT for an agency. "With benefits" will get you all 8 Microsoft paid holidays, plus 8 hours of paid time off per month, for a total of 20 days off, paid, per year. Benefits also include medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401K plan with matching contributions.

Cons

For the most part MAQ only partners with Microsoft and T-Mobile. Most if not all of the Microsoft contracts offered are a- (adjunct, rather than v- or vendor), but they are with high profile groups. Payday is only once a month (ouch!)
