Pros
-- Remote Work (with a caveat) -- Flexible Hours (with a caveat)
Cons
-- low pay -- assignments with unclear scope, pre-sales work -- not enough work at times -- shoddy health benefits -- degrading culture - the culture was very different when I joined. As time wore on the company went from a focus on delivery to a focus on making sure all hours were filled. It was touted as a family-oriented company, and lived up to it until recently. Things have shifted across the board. -- Empty promises - There were promises of a bonus structure when I got hired. I never saw a cent even though I helped grow the business. -- They will require you to train against your weaknesses. For example, I was required to build an elearning module when I had never done such a thing before. I was supposed to essentially train myself on how to do this. When it took me a great deal of time to complete even a portion of this task, I was placed on a performance improvement plan for time management. -- There is a growing culture of micromanagement.
