Pros

A lot of the people are really great! Fun personalities, engaging even without full time in office experiences. Some really great foundations for reporting and performance marketing. There is money to be made here both as a business and as an employee. If you’re interviewing, negotiate hard, they will low ball your offer, but will hear your counters. There is a lot to be learned here from cool clients and some interesting experience of the staff.

Cons

Long term client relationships. Often seen as a pro for some agencies, here it is an unfortunate con. Grandfathered-in lowballed pricing to win clients early on resulted in low commissions, some clients with zero growth over a decade+ of work together, and an eagerness to win business regardless of the rate. Leadership often negotiates themselves down before pitches or renewal conversations stretching profits very thin. Work is extremely hands on with all clients I touched while there, including client management, reporting, and creative, soaking up what little profit there is very fast. Work life balance is not a thing here. Calls at all hours of the day/night/weekend from clients and management. Urgent requests are the norm. Very understaffed due to significant turnover for a while resulted in very heavy workloads and long hours.

Pros

We're fortunate to have such longstanding clients. That provides a lot of stability in the agency world and there are always opportunities to grow. While there's always a lot of work to do, there's a supportive team to lean on.

Cons

With a smaller team comes a lot of work. That means you have to work outside your comfort zone and support projects outside your normal day-to-day tasks.

Pros

The dogs at the office are delightful, and made my super difficult and stressful days a bit more bearable. I also met a few wonderful people there who were supportive and kind. The office itself is nicely equipped.

Cons

Where do I begin. This is an incredibly unprofessional and hostile place to work. I was verbally abused on a daily basis, I was never trained, yet I was expected to know everything and never ask questions. I was made to feel stupid, small, and insecure. There was no encouragement, no helping, and no support. They hired me as a "social media coordinator" but I was the project manager, as there was nobody above me who knew what to do regarding project management. There is terrible communication within the entire company, with people only saying something when it's gone wrong. My coworker, an incredibly hard working and kind human, was yelled at and abused on a daily basis, along with myself. It was exhausting and manipulating and I would not recommend anyone work there.
