Pros
Solid benefits, relatively competitive pay. Comprehensive safety program (lots of money spent in that area). All sorts of certifications and wall decoration.
Cons
If you end up working here, you could realistically expect to be told to check boxes, use pad answers for actual problems...and then rinse and repeat until retirement. If you like vanilla ice cream, this is the place for you. The entire structure is top heavy and so burdened with red tape and political agendas that it's rare to see results from that group. Again, unless you're looking to make a difference and find some fulfillment in your professional life, this isn't a bad place to work. If you want to make a difference or take on a challenge that moves the needle, you're probably be better off somewhere else.
