Pros
Working here, you will get the ability to work across multiple industries, different IT environments and meet some really nice folks around the country. The companies that MIC Global Services are really unique and offer anyone, especially in IT, the opportunity to make a difference. The company really tries to set themselves apart from most organizations by offering a unique, open office space and talking a good game about the importance of culture. The office is nice - the perks of free candy, decent coffee and the occasional happy hour are good.
Cons
There is a power struggle going on in this company. Hard to say where it is coming from, but if you are the support side of things you will feel it. No company this small, with so much opportunity to do good should be fighting itself as much as it does. The inter-department battles are unlike any I have ever seen. Everyone thinks they can do the other person's job better. The IT group will continue to struggle until it stops becoming the enemy of the organization, and itself. Past and current IT employees have put a lot of work into what feels like a constant uphill battle in this company. When you look around at how MIC Global Services actually works as an IT organization, you might run as a current employee, and you should take caution as a potential one. The IT org is a good example of one who is still going through an identity crisis. No decision is the right one when you work here. There are too many different different departments telling the IT team how to do their jobs. The internal supporting teams of IT in this organization should not be so back handed about how they help. You will be stuck with a couple 3rd party vendors that quite frankly lack something to be desired.
