Pros
The best part of work at MICO is that there are fantastic benefits--well above normal for this size company in this industry. There are also other perks like a free turkey on Thanksgiving, a free ham at Christmas, doughnuts every day, a liquor cabinet, and party days on the third Friday of every month. It is also very hard to get fired or laid off--even when the economy slowed, they simply cut hours rather than laying people off.
Cons
MICO has a very odd culture. There seems to be an unusually high number of people that are simultaneously incompetent and feel entitled to all the great benefits. Because it's hard to get fired or laid off, this group of people has grown larger and larger over the years. Some people are also--strangely and self-contradictorily--terrified of being fired and will actually reprimand/correct you if you go the extra mile. They will ensure that no one else knows how to do their job--to the point of deliberately making their work complicated and then not telling anyone what they do or how. Caveat: There have been recent positive changes to senior staff that are wearing away at the negatives. I see the company culture improving and have positive hopes that it will improve further.
