Pros

Met some very bright mind there, and made some good friends too. Gave me chance to understand what I like and what I don't of the tech industry in general (with a lot of good examples of what NOT to do). Some (really) good managers passed by but in a context like that, where decisions are made without a real evaluation of the outcomes, they were powerless. Few years ago it was promising and I grew a lot, but today there's zero advantages in joining a company like that, only disadvantages and risks.

Cons

Founder(s) has zero business/tech/product vision and experience but an immense ego (he's a former VIP) that crushed the rare C-level(s) who tried to do the right thing, and this is THE original sin of the company. Current CEO is a puppet of the Founder (understandably) so nothing really changed, except an unhealthy amount of turnover in the prod/tech leadership and other critical roles. Company is not scaling, it never did and now is kinda late I'm afraid. Multiple budget cuts have been made to save the company financials, reaching a point where nearly half of the business/prod/tech team is not there anymore (most of them were developers working as consultants for us and they have been fired). On top of that, technically, the product is really poorly made (shared guilt between prod and tech but with a top management changing idea every 3 minutes and without any tech literacy, that's what happens)

Pros

- Skilled and supportive frontend and backend leads - Modern and regularly updated tech stack - Friendly and professional Engineering team

Cons

- In my experience, salary payments were sometimes delayed, which affected team morale - layoffs, including experienced developers and QA engineers - Frequent team reshuffling created a sense of instability - Requirements were often unclear or incomplete, making development harder than it needed to be - The QA team seemed understaffed, which slowed down the testing process - Planning often changed shortly before or during the sprint - Company meetings mentioned business growth and new clients, which felt inconsistent with the reductions in staff - I didn’t see a clearly defined career path or structured approach to salary reviews - If you're looking for a stable workplace and want to feel secure for at least a year or two - I’d strongly recommend avoiding this company. If you're looking for a place with a great dev team and modern tech, this company has that. But if stability, long-term planning, and clear direction are important to you, it might be worth exploring other options.
