      I can't think of anything other than that pay your tuition

      Cons

      Very unstable PI and student relationship even you are on PhD track. Can lose funding in any semester for reasons beyond your control.

      Brilliant colleagues A good degree of research independence Research funding sufficient for running experiments

      Research divisions are mostly uncoordinated Administrative support is more reactive than proactive
