Pros
While I was at MME I was given a vision of what was expected of me and the shift I was to lead, I was also instructed on the culture of the company and the direction that MME wanted to go in. I was given the freedom to not just to form a team, but to create that team and drive the cultural values as part of the team. There was freedom to do my job and lead my team. there was also a level of investment from ownership, people in positions of leadership were sent to classes to help them develop ethical leadership qualities.
Cons
Honestly, I didn't see any downsides, you were allowed to advance if that was your desire as long as you could perform the tasks that you were asked to do. if you have no drive I don't think you will advance anywhere.
