Pros
Was hired through a recommendation from a friend. When I first started working for MSI, I loved it! I was a seasonal preservation specialist and really loved what I did. I enjoyed working with the vendor reps within my region, and with my colleagues in the Texas and Iowa offices. I had a great report with everyone I worked with and remained friends with many of them after I resigned.
Cons
I would NOT return to MSI now! I am still in contact with many of the people I worked with and am glad I no longer work for there. A year and a half ago they got rid of ALL managers from the office and said there would be no management except in the Texas office. HOW can a company manage an office in another state? I would still stop by the office whenever I was in town and I was very disappointed to see them "walking out" the person I had trained to replace me. This was 8 months ago, they fired her for being sick in the hospital with pnuemonia and called it a breach of contract!!! They made everyone aign a contract last year saying that they would not call out for any reason, even ill health, or get fired. And just a few weeks ago they fired everyone from that location. MSI used to be a fantastic company to work for. Now it is just a matter of WHEN they will go under. 32 years of a great company gone down the drain!
