Pros
Before the internship, MTA made things easy as they took care of my visa, accommodation, work placement etc. so all I had to do was send the deposit, buy my tickets and everything else was sorted. It took away a lot of the stress of preparing to move overseas.
During my internships I had the opportunity to learn about the Chinese culture and pick up some of the language. I also got to meet and become close friends with many other interns from all over the world. The experience also looks great on my resume so once I return to my country, it will be a lot easier to find a full time position.
Cons
At times the work is not challenging or the tasks I am asked to do are outside of the job description.
