Pros
I started here as a cloud and virtualization architect. Over the years, I had the chance to work with brilliant technologists, amazing customers, and wonderful co-workers. I can honestly say that I learned SO much as a young person and a young executive. I actively sat in business meetings, learned how technology was being applied in our industry, and really understood the vast dynamics of a VAR and partner-driven community.
Over the course of almost a decade, this place made me a better technologist and business executive. I wouldn't trade the experiences I had at MTM for anything.
I gave this place 4 stars because of my own personal experiences and growth that I was able to do. Furthermore, over the years, I made wonderful friends who I know are amazing business people and technologists.
Cons
Do you know how hard it is to actually pivot and create a 'digital strategy?' Really, really hard. Especially when an organization is entrenched with a culture around traditional virtualization and infrastructure technologies. It's a double-edged sword where an organization is, literally, one of the best around a specific technology... but that tech is quickly moving towards wizard-driven deployments and SaaS licensing. So, services are impacted as are sales.
My biggest challenge here was to help the company adopt next-generation innovation. The silver lining is that MTM continues to be amazing at what they do. That is, traditional virtualization and infrastructure design.
