Pros

You get a pay cheque

Cons

Management treats their employees terribly. Buses are barely safe for the road when defects are reported nothing is done. Could go all day just save yourself the headache and don't work there!

Pros

The job itself is really great, the passengers for the most part are polite and friendly. Dispatch are great and always helpful.

Cons

The company is completely mismanaged. Our shifts are brutal (some you work 52 hours in a week and are only paid for 40 due to split shifts). The most common shifts are 10+ hours. Drivers on spare board are abused, working all shifts, early morning to late evening, and you need to call in for your work daily. DAILY. Makes work/life balance a real problem for all. The only thing that gives us hope is our president, wonderful man but not well informed by his senior management team.

Pros

(some) good co workers and supervisors Great place to practice driving larger vehicles, Great trainers Looks decent on a resume (only if you include barrie transit in the name)

Cons

The company is flying by the seat of their pants. Severely understaffed washbay. 2 employees to service 40+ conventional transit buses, and 25+ other vehicles in 7 hours.... the company is well aware and happy to save the money on staffing. Driver wages are an absolute joke, a senior operator making 25xx an hour? To drive in a well developed city... issues with payroll discrepancies pay close attention to your paycheque ,
