Pros

None, you're replaceable. They'll screw you over

Cons

They sent my paycheck through the mail and I never received it. They made me pay $35 so they could send a new one.

Pros

I worked for MACK Employment during my time at university. The job wasn't very difficult and you were allowed to choose your own hours. I worked mainly on the weekend or at holidays for the extra pay.

Cons

Job would not support my life outside of college, but it was never meant to be a full time job. Some of your clients would trump up charges of incompetence so that they didn't have to pay the going rate of $10.50/hour. The one hotel did that to every MACK employee in 2011. Also had to pay for my uniform from MACK on my first day.

Pros

Hours are chosen weekly from an e-mailed list. The pay was between $11.00 and $12.00 an hour. People very nice to work with. Usually 4 to 8 hour shifts and usually the jobs were serving various groups of convention goers or other groups or associations having banquets, etc. Teamwork skills are a must. Sometimes the trays are heavy. Job entails setting up before the event, serving food and beverages and busing the tables afterward. After a while, you know which jobs require heavy lifting and which ones don't. You can pick the venues you like if you only need a small number of hours to supplement another full time job. There are some jobs that turn into full time jobs for some employees, such as cafeteria servers working with the elderly. Not sure what the pay is for that. There is a day of training at the office. Pay is weekly.

Cons

Spend $70.00 bucks on a uniform plus shoes. I only wanted 8 hours a week and sometimes there was pressure to pick up more shifts.
