Pros

The team are very welcoming and friendly - especially at the Glasgow HQ. Babs (office manager) is always on hand to help with anything you need! I was given great autonomy to carry out my role. Glasgow office is lovely and stimulates creativity - would be good if people were in more across all offices! Senior management are transparent and very open with business updates. Given the correct tools to do my role to the highest standard.

Cons

Fast-paced, felt unstable/uncertain - made redundancies and then a few months later made more people redundant which felt out the blue. MadeBrave are renowned for their culture but what they post externally is not what is actually reflected within when you work there. Hard to take part in some events if you are not based close to Glasgow HQ. Benefits aren't great - no death in service or private medical.

Hey, Thank you for sharing both the pros and cons of your experience working with us. I appreciate your feedback greatly and take it seriously. It's great to hear that you found the team welcoming and friendly and that you felt the Glasgow office stimulates creativity - we created it with that goal in mind; so good to hear! I’m glad you felt you were given the proper tools to perform your role to the highest standard. I’m also pleased you appreciate the transparency in communication from our leadership team. We work extremely hard to promote a culture that champions transparency, especially with business updates. With that in mind, it’s an unfortunate truth that when being transparent, that news won’t always be positive, especially when working through tricky times like a pandemic or a recession. And so, I regret that you felt that redundancies were unexpected and caused anxiety. In truth, there is never an easy way to deliver disappointing news like this. We always try our best to deliver this in the most respectful way, but there are always ways to improve. Our goal is to maintain a supportive and stable work environment for all team members, so I’ll take your feedback into consideration as we continue to improve our culture and refine our processes. Culture is an organic ever, evolving thing and takes positive input from everyone in a team to make it the best it can be. So we’ll be sure to take your feedback and implement any positive changes we can. Regarding the benefits, we understand that death in service and private medical insurance are important to many people. However, as a small, privately owned business, we have been unable to offer the benefits you mentioned. We do, however offer a substantial annual leave entitlement, enhanced maternity and paternity, as well as flexibility on where and when you work, alongside lots of other benefits we’re proud of. We'll definitely consider adding these benefits in the future as and when we can. Thank you again for your feedback, and I hope that you found your time at our agency to be valuable and enjoyable overall. I wish you all the best for the future, Andrew Dobbie Founder

I loved my time working at MadeBrave - the team are absolutely fantastic. I've always felt very supported, it's flexible and understanding and I enjoyed the hybrid working. The Social Hub is a great space and offers regular chances to learn/ be inspired by attending events. Fantastic creative/design team who really care and deliver great work for clients, which makes an account handlers job all the more enjoyable.

Cons

Some clients can be challenging but good for learning/ growing.
