Thank you for taking the time to review Maga Design and for being ever curious with your fellow Magateers. As you mentioned, our team is full of very talented people who produce creative work that helps our clients meet their missions - this is best part of Maga. We are continually evolving our training and career paths to ensure we meet the goals of both our employees and our customers, and this can sometimes lead to missed opportunities during peak times. Your comments regarding this are noted, and are a great reminder that we should continue to focus on the communication, development, and rollout of organizational structures and paths in order to help each Magateer reach their potential. Thank you for your comments, and I will make sure all of your feedback is communicated to the leadership team.

Pros

I’ve worked at Maga Design for about a year. Overall I can say it’s an absolutely great place to work. The most comfortable, eclectic, beautiful work environment I’ve ever had the chance to be a part of, and the people who work here are incredibly friendly, intelligent and creative. Scott Williams (ceo) is a phenomenal leader - he provides an abundance of care, generosity, and support to those who work here - truly the kindest, most innovative and hard working leader a company could ask for :)

Pros

It now has multi-generational teams who want to see the company succeed. Has the potential to be a great agency once a proper structure is put in place.

Cons

A company that needs to clearly define it's service offerings, instead of saying yes to everything without clear processes. Leadership have improved but are still non-commital who show up, give lip service, play "culture" show nepotism and leave managing day to day operations to either one non-caring, detached leadership member to handle strategy who turns up once a week or inexperienced team members who want to understand their roles, desire training and a clear career path, but lack people management skills. Still, has divided teams - Account team clique and everyone else. Clear bias to hiring, inappropriate comments from senior level members that leave you shaking your head in 2017, but it is overlooked. Currently, Maga Design is a stepping stone to move onto more established agencies or consultancies, or people stay as they are comfortable and know nowhere else would put up with their mess and child-like attitudes.

Thank you for taking the time to review Maga Design and for being ever curious with your fellow Magateers in our DC studio. It’s great to hear of your appreciation for the work we have done to bring together a multi-generational team - it’s that, and other diversity, that leads to a more creative environment and higher-quality deliverables for our clients. Your comments regarding professional development for both junior Magateers and the leadership team are a great reminder to continue to focus on recurring training and best practices as we grow. Developing creative, dynamic, innovative professionals is a key factor in producing the work our clients depend on, so please share your ideas, needs, and feedback in this area with your manager and team. Thank you for your comments, and I will make sure all of your feedback is communicated to the leadership team.
