Pros
We have embarked on an aggressive, inorganic growth strategy through strategic M&A and I'm very excited about the future. Sure, we're experiencing some growing pains when we integrate companies and evolve beyond a start--up, but the core team is very talented and dedicated to success and has a "find a way" attitude. We have invested heavily in automation and acquisition (both in capital and of people) and this has helped tremendously build at scale. While we are hiring, we don't just throw bodies at a problem. We're smart about truly digging into where we can automate. Our sales team has expanded over the past 1-2 years and the infusion of a strong VP sales leader has truly transformed the MS sales team into a high-functioning team who brings optimal solutions to all of our clients. Furthermore, we have sold off a former business unit that was not in line with the strategic vision and this has allowed all teams - Product, Sales, Marketing - to all focus on managed IT services exclusively. One of the things I value most here is there is No Red Tape. If you have an idea - and you voice that idea - congrats, you own it. Make it happen. While our company culture is still being defined as it is ever changing as we meld together with other companies, our exec leadership is very progressive when it comes to Life/Work balance and from Day 1 I have always felt a sincere desire to ensure employees are safe yet productive. This is a great org with excellent products who truly values employees.
Cons
At times, the org feels like a "product first" kind of team, which if you're a product person, that makes sense. We're still growing into a Sales First mentality, but it will take time. On a related note to the "No Red Tape" comment, there's also a downside with that empowerment. At times, there is some "going rogue" in place with a lack of visibility or standards. I'd take the hassle of duplicate efforts, for example, over having months and months of M&P to follow.
