Pros

Fashion industry knowledge & learning the behind the scenes of building an app.

Cons

This company mismanages it's "employees" and it does not treat them with respect nor does it compensate workers appropriately. They misclassified everyone that was hired and expected them to fall in line as an "employee" and suddenly back tracked when they realized they are not allowed to do that. You are expected to use all your own resources and often do not get compensated for them as you are told you will. They have a high turn over rate due to lack of career advancement and a negative work environment. Upper management is frequently unaware of the day to day dealings of the company and the staff is too catty which leads management to make uninformed and often bias decisions. Everyone is a "freelance worker" and I say that lightly because it's more a ball & chain environment. There is no creative freedom and directions are often unclear. In the first year, they have gone through 4 or 5 "managers"- and I use that term VERY lightly, because I would hardly say they managed properly. The founder does not seem to care too much either. The end is coming for this company because they cannot sustain themselves off of what they have been doing thus far. Magnetique's business model makes no sense and they feed the workers false promises to keep them on board until they see fit. If you want to be constantly stressed, dumbed down, deal with catty tattle tale behavior because everyone is trying to climb the non-existant ladder...pick Magnetique. I give this company a few more months (if that) and my guess is so does management because they talk about the company's shortcomings in front of staff, yet tell everyone how great everything is.

Pros

You learn about the sort of work environment you never want to be in, ever again. Working from home. It was good at first but things went downhill very fast.

Cons

Everything: lack of communication, structure, biases among employees, bad management, low wages for educated people, categorized as freelance but treated as FT employees without benefits of the title, and so much more.
