Pros
immediate colleagues can be great.
Cons
This company is currently trying to transition from its vehicle product to make waves in the truckload market. They hired me and a couple of others to assist with the knowledge needed to fill the known and unknown gaps in the product. Not only did they not take our advice, but they brought in others from a larger more well-known corporate giant in the field who took over, fired us, and slowed the product process. They've already had one round of layoffs earlier this year, nearly a second, and now a 3rd before the end of the year. They have goals established for this quarter and the first half of 2024 that, in my expert opinion, are completely unreasonable and they have operational departments that are meddling in the success of other departments by undermining direct managers and not allowing communication to flow appropriately. The goals for 2024 have less than zero probability of being achieved with their TL market plans. Instead of sticking by their choices of expert hires a year and a half ago they are opting for shareholder/board value and will most likely have other rounds of layoffs in 2024.
