Pros
Unfortunately, it's one of the better healthcare providers in the Philly suburban area. Patients are treated better. Facilities are nicer. Good steppingstone for support staff but wouldn't want to spend over 2 years here.
Cons
MLH pays their medical assistants and support staff poverty wages. Raises end up being pennies when you factor in cost of living and inflation. I work with an MA who has been with MLH for 7 years and is getting paid only $21/hour. I'm getting paid $19/hour which I had to negotiate up from their original offer of $18/hour. Meanwhile, the president of MLH's salary isn't far from $2 million/year. I'm surprised we haven't attempted to unionize yet (we should). High turnover. Every MA leaves to join the "resource team" which pays $5 more (which isnt even comparable to the cost/time of driving to different locations every day). Severely understaffed. Go figure. If they raise the pay, they wouldn't have such a hard time finding support staff. The support staff is diverse--but when you look beyond that to management, it is not diverse at all. They claim to care about their employees and diversity, but it's just lip service.
