Pros
the role aloud for a lot of autonomy, essentially building the companies brand from the ground up allowed for exploring fun and creative ideas through video and other media content. working in a community with individuals from a wide variety of industries and professions allowed for a lot of networking opportunities.
Cons
management is the real route of the problem in this company. No real ownness or support in building or developing skills within the team to improve work performance or little to no training for certain tasks or cadences. An expectation to go above and beyond for the company with them providing little compensation, career opportunities or growth in the company or any financial bonuses, benefits or incentives other then a monthly staff party. very high turn over of staff - during my year and a half there I saw 12 people start and leave within a team that was usually made up of around 17-20 people. the person helming the company fully expects the whole team to adapt to his style of working and to adapt to his personality type without adapting to his team's different work approaches.
Pros
- Friendly and supportive team - Vibrant, creative workspaces that encourage collaboration - Great networking opportunities with a wide range of freelancers and creatives - Leadership is approachable and genuinely cares about people - Regular social events and community vibes make it enjoyable to come to work
Cons
- The friendly community vibe is great, but it can sometimes make it harder to disconnect. - Creative spaces often thrive on flexibility, but that can sometimes lead to unclear expectations
