Pros
You get a lot of hours
Cons
They call you in when they want to. They threaten you with termination whenever you don’t want to give up your life for them. They treat everyone who isn’t in corporate like they are replaceable and like they aren’t even necessary to the company. THERE’S NEW STORE OPENINGS ALL THE TIME BUT NO RAISES AND PROMOTIONS OFFERED FOR CUTEENT EMPLOYEES. THEY HIRE OUTSIDE THE COMPANY FIRST AND FRENCH SPEAKERS GET MANAGEMENT POSITIONS. If you’re American you will not be promoted unless you kiss behind or sleep with someone or know someone personally. IF YOU ARE A BARISTA COUNTER STAFF SUPERVISOR OR CONNOISSEUR OR WHATEVER THEY DO NOT PROMOTE YOU THEY PRETEND LIKE THEY WILL BUT THEY WILL HIRE SOMEBODY OUTSIDE THE COMPANY FIRST. There’s no benefits and everyone is absolutely mean. The district managers fire people in the spot if they don’t like the way your face looks I’ve seen it happen. Be very careful with this company. The food they feed you is gross they don’t feed you restaurant food only managers can eat from the restaurant menu all other employees eat frozen foods that get heated up and it’s gross!! They treat us like we’re “The Help” .If you aren’t management then you feel like you aren’t a valuable asset to the company and they still expect company loyalty from you. THE TRAINING PROGRAM IS HORRIBLE. They switch your store every month and no matter how hard you’ve worked at your previous store if your new managers don’t like you, you will not get promoted. Lastly, when you work here, it consumes all you time. They have you work 60 hours a week sometimes and when you request off or call out you get written up. If you call out 5 times they fire you but yet they don’t give you enough time off to have a personal life. If your a mother don’t work here. I’ve heard managers say "Oh well if she can’t do something because of her kids I will find another person who don’t have kids that can do the job". This is what working for Kayser is like.
