Pros
- You can reach the office (City centre Deira) by metro
- Employee discounts and benefits to brands such as VOX cinemas
- If you have the right manager/boss, your efforts will be noticed and appreciated (depends on which business unit and team you work in)
Cons
- HR teams update on job offer/job application status was very slow and there was no accountability or a single point-of-contact
- Post joining the team, learning curve for new joiners was too short and transition plans were not effective
- The expectations were never clear from the leaders/overall business and this translated to changing requirements on a weekly basis (more like on a whim)
- Many teams portray a culture of what's going wrong, who is wrong and that every last-minute request (FYI – most of these requests were not by senior leaders but mainly from teams with the same role/title or one-up to them) provided by these teams should be met within the hour/same day more than allowing you to focus on your own work
- Some of the leaders/senior management believe that downgrading/indirectly insulting employees will only push them to perform above and beyond but this is without any sign/promise of good career growth and progression
- Bad pay scales structure as there is no differentiation for a person with 1 year of experience or 6 years of experience
