Pros

You get to interact with children and make them happy. Seeing their smiles are the only good party of the day.

Cons

They're absolutely unorganized in the upper east side. Schedules are chaotic to the point that you can't call off even if it's an emergency unless you find a person who agrees to cover you in that moment. It doesn't matter how much experience you have you still earn $9. They force you to split the tips when more than half the people don't deserve your earnings because they're not working as hard. They need to schedule their workers correctly. There's been dozens of times I was the only worker on the floor taking care of 30+ people single handedly because they don't want to book workers. They use the minimum amount so they can pay the least amount of people. The corporate people who come in are A-holes who have no idea how to really do customer service. I was an A+ worker, but dropped the job because of stress.

Pros

No point in mentioning them because the bad outweigh the good. Go work for any other creativity center in the city. It isn't worth it.

Cons

Where do I start.. 1) store management is very unprofessional. They discuss other employee's termination details openly. Also they are always seeking the negative in everyone that works there, and trying to talk to anyone about a situation is like trying to talk to a brick wall. 2) you can't get a straight answer or an honest one from anyone. In my first week alone I got 5 different stories about scheduling/store placement and none of them wanted to take responsibility for misinformation. I ended up having to leave my other job to accommodate their "needs" and ended up not being on the schedule half the week. All in all it would be a better place to work if the long-time employees actually knew how to manage/train/lead without passing the buck, power tripping, and just being overall negative individuals.
