Pros
If you are a fast learner, and want to grow, the Martech Advisor team is a great place to be. You will be given every chance to be a 'leader' but you need to believe in yourself and just do it. the only people who don't thrive at this place are complainers and those who play politics themselves. A year ago, there was indeed a lot of politics and game playing in even this small team - but there has been almost a 'clean up' of sorts over the last year, with the new CEO coming in, and there has been several changes in work culture and the respectful way in which team members are encouraged to interact and engage with one another. Lot of flexibility in the working structure- if you need time off or a sick day, every one is really supportive, and they never bother you on weekends. It is a merit-based workplace and everyone gets a fair chance - once, twice, and with appropriate counselling the third time- but if you still cannot make a convincing contribution, there wont be room for you on this team this is a company that has proved time and again that it values its people and puts them above all- even at their own expense - an attitude that may even have hurt the company- but is getting much more professional and global now with a concerted effort from the management and leadership.
Cons
like every bootstrapped company, sometimes big ideas are constrained by small budgets, but to the extent they can, the management does try and execute at whatever level..you have to be persistent and like in any job, learn to manage people to get your work done
