Cons

This company expects their managers to have absolutely no life outside of work, the work week would consist of 11 hour days 5 days per week, 55 hours sometimes more with no additional compensation after 40 hours of work all while doing every job in the restaurant. I'm sure this lack of balance in life is a large reason as to why managers in this company frequently hook up with each other, even district managers date bartenders there is no ethical code. Breaks were unheard of, when I arrived here I encouraged the staff to take breaks because in massachusetts you are entitled to 30 minutes after 6 hours of work, no manager ever offered breaks before me so everyone was conditioned to think working these long hours straight through without taking a moment to eat a meal was normal. The kitchen staff did not adhere to food safety regulations often dropping food on the floor and proceeding to serve to customers. This company's bottom line which is all they care about mostly stems from upselling margaritas considering the food is not good but encouraging customers to drink more alcohol with the price of them verbally and physically attacking employees and other customers at times, no cameras or security in the building. Another member of management who has been working with the company for 20 years would have employees working off the clock or for free technically and he would also have the servers pay the check when customers would walk out, not only cruel but illegal. Physically and mentally drained after my time working there, I've been in the industry a long time and margaritas is not somewhere I would recommend working to my worst enemy if I had one.
