Office is overworked, higher management has unreasonable expectations, everyone is unhappy and gets burnt out to quickly. It is expected of you to work late hours consistently and if you stray from this expectation you are frowned upon. Teams are under staffed as a cost savings, particularly during CA. This business model has been working for him and I'm sure nothing has changed due to the staff's reticence to speak up about it and their own self-absorbed desires to work on these high profile projects to the sacrifice of their home life and relationships.
