Pros
The pay and benefits are comparable
Cons
9-5 is considered 'admin' hours. You will be expected to work more than those on a daily basis, regardless of what level job you hold (ironically this includes admins). The pay is minimal, especially considering the extra hours and travel. If you're US based you probably won't always be paid on time... and then finance will ask for you to pay for your own wire transfer fees because they didn't do payroll correctly (this went on for a year and a half and the CEO didn't bother to correct it). You will be asked to lie and compromise morals and ethics in order to advance the company, but when things do not go well you will be thrown under the bus and it will be your reputation (not the companies) that they try to tarnish. I'd be willing to bet that they are currently promoting having depots in locations they do not currently have (wholly owned or otherwise). The CEO will likely make inappropriate age, race, weight or sex comments about you or others. Of course, the majority of senior level management is guilty of this as well. While discussing my salary I was told "you make good money for your age" and the conversation didn't touch once on what my contributions were, just what was an appropriate amount given my age (not experience, just age). When I did something well, I was sometimes told 'that's just because you're hot and young'... What?! Maybe it's because I'm skilled at my profession? Expect that if you ever have a family or medical emergency that what you confide in your manager will NOT remain confidential. Don't anticipate much help from human resources... that department is a formality and not functional.
