Pros
Decent pay relative to the market
Cons
- Managers monitor everything you do, down to requesting examples of emails. Success is measured by inflated activity metrics rather than meaningful outcomes. Many employees send fake emails just to hit unrealistic quotas. Anxiety amongst employees is high.
- Leadership lacks industry experience, with most having only worked at MG. Hiring practices are careless (no background checks), and inappropriate behavior is common at events and is encouraged with clients to get sales in the door.
- Health insurance is expensive and “half-day Fridays” really just means a longer lunch. No days in lieu for weekend work, plus longer hours Mon–Thurs to compensate for the “shorter” Friday.
- The “work from anywhere” policy is restrictive. You need manager permission to even work from a coffee shop. They actually do not let you work from anywhere and restrict when you can take vacation around the holidays.
