I was hired to cover a maternity leave and was offered salary plus benefits after 3 months. Two weeks after I started I was informed that as a temporary contract employee I was not eligible for benefits. I was upset but could understand a simple mistake was made in the advertisement for the position. Until the same situation repeated with other new employees. Four times. None of them were temporary contract hires either.
