Expect long hours waiting on old processes. This is a business that has decided that exposing customers to multiple hour downtimes is acceptable - and you as an employee will be online for hours overnight waiting on them. I don’t know how they do it, but they schedule “upgrades” of cloud products - including products they are specifically designed for zero downtime - that take eight hours of site-down maintenance. (In 2022!) Seeing your weekends vanish is commonplace. There are meetings and people aren’t happy, but the expertise to run a consumer financial product just isn’t there. They have a lot of people who have been there a long time, and a lot of people that are out after 1-2 years.
