Pros
There's a big debate right now on the use of the phrase "work family," and while I see both sides of the argument, I truly feel like I've found my people at Mashgin. The work can be stressful and demanding at times, but I've never felt so supported. Everyone from all levels, even our c-suite folks, are always there to help with anything you need. Startup "culture" can be rough sometimes simply because you have to be "on" and can't stick to a typical work schedule, but with the team and culture that this company has managed to build, I hardly notice or remember the long days. With the flexible work schedule and unlimited PTO, this definitely balances out. Compensation is excellent, benefits are great, leadership trusts you to get your job done and doesn't micromanage you, and your work days have meaning.
Cons
When you began as a "scrappy startup," putting processes and procedures in place that don't always adhere to the "hustle culture" are sometimes a challenge. We have opportunities to improve ourselves as we scale instead of continuing down the same path of, "do whatever we need to do at all costs no matter the timeline" mentality.
