They have you work alone in 1+ bedroom units, essentially houses, and rush your work while expecting everything to be flawless, and should you take even just a little too long because an area is completely trashed, they take away your work and shorten your already low pay. Sometimes they'll take your units away from you, then reassign them to you with someone else for half the pay. For adults trying to pay bills, this is not ideal.
The job listing said we would be making $11-$13 an hour. The person conducting the interview said the same, while briefly mentioning the piece rate. In an area where good jobs are scarce I thought this was a great opportunity, only to find I would be making 280 at the most some weeks, despite how long (staying until 8 when we were told our day would end between 3-5) and how hard I had worked. Supervisors are often nowhere to be found and leave you waiting to be inspected for up to an hour or more, time which you are not being compensated for, and could be cleaning somewhere else, but they keep you sitting there waiting.
Was often very disorganized. Assignments were never put out on time, and half the workers never had units, so despite having to be in at a certain time, most would be sitting in clean rooms about the resort for 1-2 hours, unpaid, until people checked out.
Overall, if you're a teen looking for a summer job and some extra cash--go for it. Otherwise, look somewhere else. This is a shady company to work for.
