Serious Concerns With HR, Safety, and Management Conduct - Line Attendant Masters Gallery Foods Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay and benefits (although benefits seem to be reduced year over year), a predictable schedule, and good coworkers on the floor.

Cons

HR and management do not consistently follow written policies, especially around attendance, FMLA, PTO, and safety. Multiple employees experienced approved FMLA leave later being questioned or having vacation time deducted. Employees who used protected leave were pulled into meetings, warned about attendance, or made to feel targeted. There is a culture of intimidation rather than support, and concerns raised (including safety incidents and inappropriate language) were not handled consistently or transparently. Documentation and written approvals did not always protect employees in practice.

Pros

This place is so bad it will make you appreciate your next job!!!

Cons

Managers and supervisors are absolutely terrible. Big egos and no listening skills. Many of them are way to young and inexperienced and have no business in their roles and some with questionable history and incidents that most employers would say that it makes them unfit for leadership roles. Many of them spend more time watching the cameras then they do helping the employees!! Extreme favoritism. Hr manager is a disaster, gives you the crabby mom attitude for even asking basic questions. Health insurance is a joke. The CEO bragging about how much the company made last year then giving full bonus only to some departments but not others then blaming the reason we didn't get the bonus on things management is at fault for, not us!!( Employee retention, trim usage, not fixing anything ever!!). The benefits have been getting worse and worse and they even cut several shifts vacation back. They have recently been leaning into using the term " family" to describe us. I don't know about the rest of you, but if my family treated me like this I'd stop talking to them! The guy who gave us the big family speech, no one even knows who he is. He hasn't been on the floor in years!!! How can anyone take him seriously when no one knows who he is?! They make you punch in and out for break and recently moved the time clocks basically robbing you two minutes of your break. Overall I would say the ethics and morals of this company have a pretty low bar, but they sure like to lecture you about yours! Don't put those company morals on the walls of the break room and expect your employees to live up to them unless you're going to too!!!
