Pros

The people you work with are awesome and the shortened hours on Sunday are great. Also there's downtime for Netflix.

Cons

Where to begin.. Mattress Firms goal is to become the biggest mattress retailer and in doing so I don't think they know what they are doing to run a business that big. Their lack of communication is ridiculous, no one knows who to contact, pto gets mucked up, morale is at an all time low, and we have to go to lots of pointless meetings that can be summed up in an email. It's hard to run the biggest retailer when you have no employees because they are all leaving because you suck and you don't care but you'll try and act like you do anyway.

Pros

Supportive and approachable management team. Flexible scheduling that made it easier to balance work and personal responsibilities. Opportunities to transfer between locations for better career or sales opportunities. Competitive pay compared to many other retail sales positions. Relaxed, low-pressure sales environment that encouraged a consultative approach rather than aggressive selling. Positive workplace culture with managers who were willing to help employees succeed.

Cons

Delivery issues occurred frequently and required employees to be proactive in identifying and resolving problems. Communication between store associates and warehouse personnel could be inconsistent, making issue resolution more difficult. Coordinating out-of-state deliveries could be complex and time-consuming. Computer system slowdowns or outages during major holiday sales sometimes disrupted order processing and financing applications.
