Pros
Internal team members- sounds like some offices are lacking in this department however my office is fantastic. Everyone who works internally gets along well and works towards a goal, we have not had any issues between coworkers. PTO- have never had my pto denied by management, always encourage us to utilize it and management is very flexible and understanding when circumstances arise. Opportunity for growth- i started as a recruiter, went from RCI all the way up yo RCIII/tenured recruiter and now ROM. Pay-if your office is doing well you get great commission checks Everyone that ive had to work with from other offices/corporate have been helpful and nice, luckily i have not run into any issues outside of my office either.
Cons
Mental/emotional stress- everything falls on the recruiters/client coordinators. Now that im in a management role I understand that im doing a lot of the behind the scenes work howevee the recruiters are still the ones bringing in the staff and the client coords are the ones keeping everything running smoothly on the day to day. Takes a special person/personality to put up with some of the stuff that goes into that, even though i was a successful recruiter i personally did not enjoy it. Promotions are based on your office-same with commission. You cant be promoted if your office isnt doing well or if your office isnt ready for a new role, regardless of how well you perform. You can however get promoted by going to another office that has that position open, but if you want to stick to the same location its rather limited. Base salary- needs to be revised again. Commission is awesome and i think meets the standard of the times, however for both managers and recruiters base pay is not competitive.
