Pros

Tough place to work in a call center environment but if you survive you can use these skills elsewhere. Opened in October 2013.

Cons

Not a place to stay very long. $12.00 to start. Before deductions and very high cost of health insurance. I went through a 3 step hiring process. First on-line app, then phone interview and then a face to face. Hiring done by temp agency & you work for them several weeks before Maximus accepts you.

Pros

Remote, adequate training and guidance and usually everything /software works - minus regular hiccups.

Cons

Not too many - a few misunderstanding s about training classes and roles but overall, not bad.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
