Pros

Up to date software programs and systens used to maintain employee metrics and communicate schedules.

Cons

The specific location I worked at and for, have a pretty tight connection between one another and if you work hard and do your job correctly, they make a joke of you and then look for reasons to fire you. And unfortunately I was placed on a team with pretty immature individuals who made a joke of my livelihood and completely blind sided me by firing me for an issue THEY created.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
