Pros
Initial draw in of a good salary not much else.
Cons
- do not provide a contract, and get funny with employees if they request them.
- No definition of over time and how much it is paid at, it’s always a surprise on payday - when your finally paid
-You will be expected to work 14 hour days with no breaks , with no sign of an opt out agreement( illegal ) . So it may look like a decent wage but when you’re working 55+ hours …. Not so much
- nothing you receive is in writing , so watch out for that.
- payroll is incompetent- putting in wrong tax codes and leaving staff without wages over a weekend.
- it will take you weeks to get hold of a payslip , so who knows what you get pay day, it’s always a surprise ( again illegal)
- complete lack of standardised HR.No formal procedures or run like a normal business.
- no care for staff wellbeing or safety (16 hour shifts followed by 5am start times, frequently)
The best part, will sack you with no warning or formal HR proceedings, with some made up reason they’ve concluded, aggressive management swear at you and put the phone down.
