Pros

ESOP, annual bonus (not guaranteed). I really can't think of any other pros that will get me to the 20-word minimum so here's this sentence.

Cons

The whole company has a very cult-like mentality of "we work harder not smarter and if you don't agree then you aren't good enough to work here" and you either subscribe to it and lie to yourself that you are "lucky to be part of such an amazing company" or you don't, and proceed to hate life until you leave. Salaries are mostly below average and unfair (mine was 1/3 that of another engineer in my dept - no exaggeration). Bonuses are not guaranteed, yet they are considered part of your salary when baselining you against the market. You can ask for a raise, but on the slim chance you get one it will be miniscule and will also be held against you for the rest of your tenure. Basically all the benefits are sub-par but if you ask a "true blood" (esp. the old timers) you will hear them describe it as Nirvana which, in retrospect, is one of many red flags I should have seen. Very little room for movement internally since the cult members seldom leave.

Pros

Great company culture, exposure to some amazing projects, project teams are fantastic, camaraderie with your team, great resources and onboarding to ensure you learn to do your job well. ESOP and bonuses are great.. if you stick it out long enough.

Cons

Pay is not as competitive as other GC's, you can be relatively underpaid as they rely too heavily on preaching about the ESOP (which takes you 5 years to even be fully vested). Can be very political and leadership kinda plays favorites, some people who dont deserve it get promoted quick and others who do deserve it never get promoted. Long work hours and depending on the jobsite it can be pretty high-stress (but thats just construction for ya).
