good co-workers, bad management - Welder/Fabricator McCombs Steel Employee Review

Having worked at a handful of fabrication shops, I can confidently and honestly say McCombs is the best I've worked for. Small company feel with big company stability. Most productive shop I've worked with, with reasonable and understanding ownership. Not afraid to spend money on technology to make you more productive and give the best product to the clients.

Not enough employees. We could use another 10 to 20 shop/yard employees and 5 to 10 office guys.

Great Wage On-the-Job Training (I got to learn how to weld) Lots of overtime Quarterly Bonus

Some of my coworker workers would show up late or miss work causing the rest of the team to pick up the workload.
