Pros

It has a reputation as being the best......whether that is deserved or not, is unclear.

Cons

Anti-union, actively seeking to thwart the direct care workers from organizing. The Human Resource Dept. is nothing more than an extension of Management in this institution. Staff nurses and mental health specialists are considered by many of the management to be expendable commodities. The pay continually claims to be "competitive", but is not, at least as it pertains to direct care staff. Some units are very top heavy with management. Upper management tends to support lower and middle management, despite overwhelming evidence to support extremely unjust and corrupt practices by many of the managers. Company places clinical people, who have no particular skills in management, and who they do not train in these areas, into management positions where they proceed to create chaos and ill will amongst the very people who are doing the bulk of direct care work. These managers are often oblivious to the detriment to the patients that this causes.

Pros

There are some opportunities to collaborate with researchers across departments .

Cons

In my experience, the workplace culture and management environment were challenging. Communication could at times feel dismissive, inconsistent, or unnecessarily confrontational, particularly during stressful operational situations. Concerns related to workplace behavior, fairness, and respect were not always handled in a supportive or transparent manner. There also appeared to be uneven treatment between employees, with some staff receiving significantly more support and flexibility than others. For international employees or individuals from different backgrounds, the environment could feel especially difficult to navigate.
