Pros

First, as I've said in the title block, I'm writing a review to follow another glowing, self-generated review by Mechdyne. Why? I think it is in the public’s best interests to write one each time they post another positive fairy tale. It is only fair that all be warned before stepping into a career limiting engagement at Mechdyne. BTW, there have been four of these reviews produced in the past 2 years or so - see if you can pick them all out. A hint, the two prior to this one are two of them. Hats off to HR! Keep them coming! Mechdyne is the wrong choice for anyone. An opinion yes, but you can easily find many that hold the same one. They don't deserve to have good people accepting their false offers. If you do choose to interview, ask how many people have left or been discharged in the past 24 months. Then ask for the number of full-time non-management, non-site assigned technical staff are currently employed. If you can get them to tell the truth - which is a foreign concept and rarely used at Mechdyne - you should find the ratio of those chucked to those employed to be rather unbelievable. I don't have exact numbers but guessing is fun. Full time staff - excluding management and on-site, technical staff – 30?, great people tossed out – 40?. Do the math and then ask them why? Perhaps they consider this fun? If true, what does this make them? Where do they find the time?

Cons

Mechdyne does very little of what they claim to do or know. They are expert at nothing but self-promotion and they're not good at that either. They are essentially a body shop for the O & G industry. That is to say they derive the majority of their revenue through the rental of on-site engineers to Oil and Gas giants, BP and Exxon. They also sell an occasional virtual reality system. That's it. The rest is window-dressing. Follow social media as they crow about even the slightest VR related achievement. Scroll back and count the number of VR systems advertised on same. I think it might total three in the past 1 to 2 years - ouch. Then take a look at their two rivals, Eon and Virtalis - ouch again! These guys open new, major offices around the world at a clip much higher than Mechdyne generates a sale! Even VisBox is stomping past them. It's as if they don't even notice the highly competitive integration market pass them bye. Their rapid rate of demise must be due to the poor work of all of those they regularly throw out. Hold it, those people are gone and this is happening? Could it be due to those that remain? Please say it isn't so.

Pros

What I value most about working at Mechdyne: A culture grounded in honesty and integrity, where trust and accountability matter. Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, with high expectations and meaningful ownership. The opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technology to solve complex, real‑world problems. A company that values contribution and responsibility, both to customers and the community.

Cons

As Mechdyne continues to grow, there’s a great opportunity to keep refining processes and communication in ways that support scale while still preserving the flexibility and innovation people value.
