no cons, everything is good

People in other departments are nice.

The list of cons is like the length of a book, but here’s a couple. You can get away with doing little to nothing if you’re one of management’s “lapdogs”, so work normally gets distributed unevenly. Getting cross trained in something YOU want is considered blasphemy in this lab, but if you’re lucky enough to have been cross trained, you can forget everything you learned, because training will be the first and last time you ever do that test/ procedure/ technique. Buuuuuut management will want you to learn/train to do things outside your job description only to benefit them, so there’s that.
