Pros

None really. The company is doing poorly, financially, which is why the attitude is so horrible from management. They are a medical education company and they are not forward thinking in respect to the publication of the journals. Print is on the way out and they have no presence on the internet so pharmaceutical companies are not that interested in paying to have their articles appear the their journals. The one good thing I would say is that the key opinion leaders on the editorial board are tops in their respective fields. That is the one thing that will get your foot in the door of the pharma companies, but after that it's a hard sell.

Cons

Management is terrible. The only tool they have in their box is to constantly threaten to fire you. Great motivation! Goals are changed at whim and for no reason. Even if you are exceeding sales goals you are threatened about how you are going about your job. My feeling is that the company may be out of business by the end of the year. The owners are not doing their part to shore up attitudes and are instead creating an air of mistrust and dissatisfaction. Most of management have scientific or medical backgrounds and have no clue how to manage a business or people.
