The work can be very emotionally draining, given that the majority of clients who interact with us are going through stressful situations with their pets, and they sometimes turn that stress outwards on us. I don't know if my base pay would necessarily make that labor worthwhile for someone without a good support system out of work. Diversity is also pretty low, especially up front--there are no men or nonbinary folks that I know of on the CSR team, and my coworkers are all white. I personally haven't felt any tension or discrimination directed towards me from my coworkers, but I am fairly white-passing, so my experience may not necessarily illustrate MedVet's attitude towards nonwhite employees.
