9yI’m so sorry that your experience at Medallia did not turn out as you or we had hoped.
Judging by your language (e.g., your use of the word “tyrants”), it sounds like you had a truly negative experience, which I deeply regret. As you know from working here, we are always trying to improve and it's important that people like you are willing to raise concerns.
I do want to address a couple of your points specifically. In terms of people leaving because of bad leadership, we're actually not seeing that here at all. Quite the contrary, we have never recruited or retained more engineers than we do today.
Next, it sounds like you are particularly concerned about the Systems Foundation team. With that group's new focus on delivering Medallia’s next-generation cloud platform there has been a lot of change and change can sometimes be hard. I've talked to the team and we are working to create a better internal communications process so that team members have more opportunities to be heard and voice concerns.
Your encouragement to dig deep is a good one — as we get larger, we do need to try to stay as close are possible to people, something I'm personally very involved in.
