You get certified with your TEFL and AMET (Teaching English Certifications) from the University of Catalunya online by completing assignments throughout the year. Very manageable work and helpful content from the teachers. Just don't wait until the last minute. Meddeas only improves how they help their assistants from beginning to end of their time in the program. Living and teaching abroad was so fun!

Meddeas does not really have control over the schools or the mentor you get paired with. Sometimes the mentor at the school can give you a poor schedule, so I would recommend really talking to the school about your schedule and make sure you're not sitting around all day at school when you could be working at home or exploring your city. Remember you are there to work, but they need to respect your time and life too!
