Pros

Great stories to tell you friends, family and loved ones. And a real-life, in person case study on how not to run a department. Or business.

Cons

How the company describes itself: If you’re looking for an opportunity to work with other smart, ambitious people, to help build a company that invents market-leading SaaS solutions our customers rave about, you’ve come to the right place! We strongly value rolling up our sleeves and taking on challenges – and we do it in a fast-paced and fun environment. Get started, get involved, and make your mark: ideas come from everyone – especially newbies! We like to mix things up with monthly birthday parties, poker tournaments, intense games of giant Jenga, impromptu Nerf gun battles, and whatever else keeps us entertained. A more realistic description: If you’re looking for a dead end, low paying opportunity to work with the most downtrodden, unmotivated people to help build a company held together by bubble gum and paperclips that somehow has clients considering the misdirection of the 'CEO' and his team of puppets, you’ve come to the right place! We strongly value unquestioned adherence to the 'CEO's' misguided and contradictory direction – and we do it in a depressing environment. Get started, get involved, and try to leave your make: ideas come from everyone – especially newbies ----but if it's not from the 'CEO' you may sit down now. We like to talk about the utter incompetence witnessed day in and out by the misguided & arrogant 'CEO' and generally speaking unqualified team of puppets in monthly birthday parties, poker tournaments, intense games of giant Jenga, impromptu Nerf gun battles, and whatever else keeps us from taking this place seriously.

Pros

I've been here awhile, and the last 2 years have been huge changes, but very exciting. Acquisition, merging information, hiring, some changing of the guard, etc. We are definitely becoming the media player we have been trying to become for many years. Very cool!

Cons

Because of so many moving parts, sometimes it's hard to know who takes ownership of what. Also, more people means more fingerprints on everything....so some things take longer. But, hey, its part of becoming a bigger org.

Pros

Remote work. That’s all I can think of

Cons

The best thing that could happen is you don’t get the job. This sales org is a complete disaster, and the leadership is embarrassingly bad. There is no real training, no coaching, no development, and absolutely no leadership—unless you count getting micromanaged, blamed, and yelled at as leadership. Expectations are wildly unrealistic, support is nonexistent, and morale is dead. There is also essentially no path for growth because they have no idea how to actually develop salespeople. They just burn people out, replace them, and repeat the cycle. So many talented reps have left because the culture is that toxic. On top of that, the pay is mediocre at best, which somehow makes an already miserable job even less worth it. Leadership also made sure to bring in their buddies, so unless you’re part of the inner circle, you’re just another body to squeeze for output until you leave. This place doesn’t build careers—it kills motivation. Run.
